OMG, Mrs. Jackson I have been addicted to your books for at least 12 years. I am in love with the Madaris series. The first on I read was Justin and Lorrens. I was gone by the end of the first chapter. Since then I have read I think every last one an am in the process of collecting them as most Ive read came from the local libraries. I have also read all of the Westmoreland series, and am equally addicted. I hope to see more stories from both families and more. Do you do book signings? If so have you ever come to Detroit? Or will you come? I am dying to meet such a brilliant and romantic mind!!!

Hi I just started reading your books after all these years. I did not know where to satrt so I started with Bane and then went to Delaney and the shiek. I have finished Dare’s sory and now I am on to Thorn LOL. I am so excited that you have so many books for me to enjoy. I love the Westmorland crew. They remind me of the Grayson crew from Francis Ray. I am still having a hard time figuring out the matriachs of the family and how they all relate to each other but I am super excited about your books.

You should start at the very beginning of the series. You started with the last book first (Bane) lol. If you google Brenda Jackson Westmorland series it should have a listing that shows the order. Once you read in order you will understand the family better.

Brenda usually has a family tree page at the beginning of the book. Also a list of prior books. I just love her. I read too much to buy all her books so I wear the library out. smile.

Hello! I’ve been reading your books since before I was of an appropriate age to read them. I hope they keep coming. I’m in the military and I’m going to be on deployment for the next year so I’m gonna need them to help me pass the time. Love your books!!!

Hi Brenda, I watched “Love Between the Covers” and was awed by how many African American authors there are in the world and did not know that you were one of them. I’m so glad I found you. I’m an aspiring writer and finally finished my first novel. I look forward to meeting you at an RWA conference. I will most definitely start reading your books for more inspiration.

      Belinda,
The Rancher Returns is connected with the Westmoreland Series by way of Bane Westmoreland. This upcoming book features one of his Navy SEAL teammates and friend. Viper as he’s called was one of the teammates that was featured in Bane’s book.

I’ll admit it… I am honestly not familiar with Ms. Jackson’s books. From the favorable comments I can see that she is a well-liked author. I was recently given 2 books from Ms. Jackson’s “Westmoreland” series, and was very disappointed. Basically, the second book was a repeat of the first book, only in a different setting. And the leading female characters in the books have so little self respect it’s sad. The first book I read was “A Wife For A Westmoreland.” Derringer convinces Lucia into a ‘just sex’ relationship, telling her that if and when he doesn’t want the relationship t continue, HE WILL LET HER KNOW… she won’t hear it from somebody else… and she is OK with that… REALLY!!! WOW.

The second book was “The Real Thing” … Dr. Trinity Matthews is being sexually harassed in the hospital where she works. All she wants to do is finish her residency, and return home to work in her family’s medical practice. She doesn’t want to sleep with Dr. Casey Belvedere, who just wants sex only from her… but she goes along with a sex only relationship with Adrian Westmoreland, who is pretending to be her boyfriend to avoid with Casey (sex only) the very thing she’s doing with Adrian (sex only)… Very weak female characters. I was truly disappointed with both books.

First, I would like to say that you are definitely the BEST romance author of today! Second, I would like to say that Brenda writes stories and novels from a realistic angle. Her female characters are not “weak”. They are real. It’s wonderful how Brenda incorporates romance with real issues such as sexual harassment and provides an authentic solution. So, keep an open mind (and heart). Brenda Jackson is doing it ‘write’ !

I agree with you Sherri 100%.
However, Carol is entitled to her opinion as well.
Carol I realize you received those two books as a gift. Had you had the opportunity to begin with the beginning of the series with each family’s collection your opinion would be much different, I guarantee. If you so choose there is a printable book version, I myself would be happy to gift the first one too you.
        All the best.

Even though I am a HUGE fan of Ms, Jackson I, too, like Carol, am greatly disappointed with the way the female characters are portrayed as weak-willed ninnies when it comes to resisting the charms of these men. Seriously, how many women (and of course there are a few) are going to accept some man’s proposal of a strictly sexual relationship with him until he gets tired of her and then it’s all over. Again, only when he says it’s over! Totally ridiculous. Can’t we have story lines with realistic female characters who will tell these men to “take a hike” (I ‘m being nice). I have over 80 of your novels and although I still like reading your books I must also agree that they are very predictable.
Let’s have some FRESH material. I know you can do it. Love ya always

I have enjoyed reading your books. I keep going back to them again and again. The Westmoreland’s, The Granger’s, ‘wow’ those Steele’s, and those Bachelors in Demand. I have not read any of the Madaris’ series because of all the others but I do intend to start from the beginning real soon. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the Bachelors in Demand series in August and all things Westmoreland. I am curious if you plan to write a story about Bronson Scott. I think his story would be very interesting with his pursuit of Sunnie St. Claire and her reluctance to get involved with him. Hmm maybe it’s coming… Brenda you are and exceptional writer and I can’t wait for all the new books coming later this year.

I love reading about the families: the Madarises, Westmorelands, Steeles and the Grangers, just to name a few. I’m hoping you will write more stories involving Ashton Sinclair, Alex Maxwell, Trevor Grant & Drake Warren and their Securities skills along with private investigator Jules Bradford-Granger, Striker, Quasar & Stonewall. I love when you mix romance and intrigue! Continued Success.
